Parasailing in Monaco:
fly over the bay at 150 m altitude

The only parasailing on the French Riviera to take you 150 metres above the sea.

Where most water sports bases in the region cap out between 30 and 70 metres, MC Watersports takes you three times higher. From the boat, you lift off gently and find yourself suspended above Monaco bay, the Rock, the yachts at Port Hercule and the villas of Roquebrune-Cap-Martin. Ten minutes in the air, no effort, no noise. Long enough to see the Principality the way few people get to.

The activity is open from age 5, to people with reduced mobility, and runs in solo, duo, trio or quad format. A parasailing flight in Monaco is a gentler (and more affordable) alternative to a helicopter tour, with an equally striking panorama.

Your flight over Monaco, minute by minute

How a flight unfolds

Departure is from Quai des États-Unis, near the Bateau Taxi in Monaco, or directly from your beach hotel pontoon. Pick-up is free either way.

Once on the MC Watersports boat, the crew fits you with a life jacket and a harness. The boat heads to the flight zone, off the bay. During the trip, the instructor runs a safety briefing and walks you through take-off and landing gestures.

The parachute is inflated and the first riders lift off. When it’s your turn, you settle on the boat’s rear platform, the instructor delivers the last instructions… and the winch lifts you. The ascent is gradual. In a few seconds, Monaco shrinks below your feet.

You fly for around 10 minutes above the Mediterranean. The return is gentle: the winch reels in, and you land directly on the platform. No water immersion, unless you ask for it: some riders enjoy dipping their feet for the fun of it.

Once the last flight is done, the instructor pulls down the sail and the boat heads back to port.

150 metres altitude: why it changes everything

Most operators on the French Riviera offer flights between 30 and 70 metres. In Nice, standard altitude is around 40 metres. In Cannes, around 70.

MC Watersports takes you to 150 metres. At that height, the field of view opens up fully: you can trace the coastline between Cap-d’Ail and Menton, spot the silhouette of Italy in the distance, see the rooftops of the Monte-Carlo Casino and the Oceanographic Museum from above. That’s what makes this flight a real alternative to a helicopter tour, calmer and at a fraction of the price.

Despite the altitude, the sensations stay gentle. No drop, no abrupt speed. You climb gradually, carried by the wind, and the flight runs in near-complete silence.

FAQ — Parasailing in Monaco

Where does parasailing take place in Monaco?

The activity departs from Quai des États-Unis in Monaco, near the Bateau Taxi, or from your seaside hotel pontoon. The flight takes place above Monaco bay, facing the Principality, with views over Port Hercule, the Rock, the Monte-Carlo Casino and the coastline between Cap-d’Ail and Roquebrune-Cap-Martin.

What is the minimum age for parasailing?

From age 5. Children fly accompanied by an adult in duo, trio or quad format. No specific physical condition is required.

Is parasailing dangerous?

No. It’s a gentle activity: no jumping, no free fall. You take off and land on the boat platform, towed by a cable and a winch. The ascent is progressive and the flight runs at constant speed. Our certified instructors supervise every rotation and all equipment (life jacket, harness) is provided and checked before each departure.

Can several people fly together?

Yes: solo, duo, trio or quad, up to 200 kg per flight. In practice a quad usually means a family (2 adults + 2 children). If you’re 4 adult friends, two duo flights will feel more comfortable.

Do I need to know how to swim to parasail?

No. You wear a life jacket and you take off and land directly on the boat, without water contact (unless you want it). Swimming ability is not a prerequisite.

How much does parasailing in Monaco cost?

Prices depend on the format (solo, duo, trio, quad). Check our booking page for current rates and availability. Activity packs with other sports are available at -20%.

How does a flight unfold?

Meet at the departure point, kit-up (life jacket + harness) by the crew, boat ride to the flight zone, safety briefing, then take-off from the rear platform. The flight lasts around 10 minutes at 150 m altitude. The return is gentle on the platform, with no water immersion. Allow 30 to 60 minutes total depending on group size.
